About us

Maa Krupa Foundatation is The Non Profitable Organization.

Maa Krupa Foundation (registered charity no. 1132439) was established in the year 2009 by five friends who wanted to help their local community in London as well as charities in Africa and India. The initial Trustees were Jayantibhai Khagram, Ashokbhai Dalia, Jagdishbhai Raichura, Chotai and Vrajlalbhai Kataria. They organised religious events (Kathas) to highlight Hindu culture. The proceeds from these events were donated to St. Luke’s Hospice, Harrow and other charities. Later, Rashmi Shah, Ramesh Popat and Mahesh Shah joined the Board of Trustees.

The policy we initiated was to approach other charities abroad and establish links for service delivery. We organised religious programmes in India. By linking with TV companies in India, these programmes, which are based on Hindu epics the Ramayana, Bhagwat Geeta and Shrimad Bhagwad, achieved wide publicity on three continents. They were aired regularly during August and September 2020. Many people had lost loved ones during the pandemic and the prayers and chanting of sacred verses gave solace to many people. The publicity was supplemented via WhatsApp and Facebook. These raised the profile of the charity and also gave us the platform to share the causes that are close to our heart. This resulted in the charity receiving sponsorships not just from the UK but from overseas as well. The success led us to hold other events including Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day and others. 7 Kenyngton Place, Kenton, Harrow, HA3 ODW
